There is an ever increasing list of demands, and legal requirements, being placed on the British folk festival. The FOLK TASK FORCE is a collection of festival volunteers who have decided to get together in an attempt to organise a volunteer force to meet these demands.

Our aim is to identify and promote good practice in the festival volunteer force, facilitating the training of volunteers where necessary, and act as a conduit for festival organisers to contact a body of responsible and reliable volunteers with a known track record.

We are building a register of reliable volunteers who are known to be mature and responsible. Festival organisers may use this register to contact people in their area who may be willing to work at their festival. We will be arranging training sessions for volunteers to gain additional skills that will be of benefit.
